My first electric Guitar

oh my .... this will take some time of yours ... My first electric guitar , I bought it on 1'st June 2008 from pune from a shop called in a basement for 3600 bucks ... and I tell you it was no easy , it was not just making a decesion and going there and buying a guitar straightaway ..It was some hectic job to buy a guitar and I had to test my patience to have my guitar and let me tell you patience is not one of my better qualities but it had been exercised a lot untill i got my guitar .


I had decided to but an electric guitar in september when my brother in law told me that the acoustic guitar I possessed was not of good quality and so i just got upset and decided that the next guitar i buy will be of a better quality and it will be definately electric . And from then onwards my search started I started looking at diffrent types of electric guitars on internet , made a rough budget in my mind , and after a week I went to papa and told him that I want to but an electric guitar . He said "NO " . I was angry , I started throwing things here and there ( wel just tryin to show to throw things .. if I would have done it in reality i would have been kicked out ) and then papa said in his typical patient tone , okay you can buy , but after your university exams are over . And I looked at the calendar and saw september and counted months from september till may - 9 months .. Okay so 9 months wat was it ? just roughly 270 days only 6480hours . Thats not much ?? is it ??


after the wait was over on 23'rd april , the day my exams got over , I went to papa and told him about his promise he made me 9 months ago and he told me start lokking for guitars .


So I started looking for guitars , and in the meanwhile I made a band with a guy I found on orkut .. and we decided to start off by June .. Anyways I went this band member of mine to buy him an acoustic guitar to a shop in lajpat nagar in delhi , and as soon I entered the shop i heard an amasing progression being played by the salesperson there and I was stunned by the range of guitars they had . Anyways I bought my friend his acoustic guitar and came bak home . I decided that time has now come and i have to buy a guitar and I told papa that i want to . and he told me that I should not take guitar in a hurry and told me that i was already goin to pune in may .. so its better i buy it from there under my brother in law's guidance . My patience was facing the worst kind of test ...


Anyways I got down at pune and on the first day itself I told my brother about it . The nest day we went to furtados to checkout some guitars and i saw there a guitar for about 13 k . and it was AMASING . and we almost bought it .. but then we decided that we will look in more shops and who knows we might get a deal better than this and we did . about 10 days later we went into a basement music room , and this shop was not that big but I could smell the strings in it . So we got down looking at some guitars and then we decided about two guitars one was sky blue in color and the other total black , so we decided after a lot of thinkin that black one was the best .


But then came another twist , my sister wanted to wait more due to financial reasons , and now patience had given way and i was gettin desperate to buy , so my brother in law , me and my sister we all discussed the repurcussions if we buy a guitar that moment and what if we do not .. and then they cancelled each other . And then it came down to a coin toss . And it was like everything had come to a stand still . my brother took the coin out of his wallet , i said tails and when he tossed it up in the air , it was like the world had stopped for me . The coin went up in the air and it touched the ceiling and landed straight into his hands and as he removed hiss left hand to see the outcome I said to myself , it should be a tails . and it was . So we went and we got what i wanted for the last 9 months . A nice black coloured guitar . yeah I posessed her !!!

Whatever may be the price , for me it is priceless , I luv playing it and though I am yet to perform with it infront of people , I am sure she definatelt wo'nt let me down .

PS: I know it might be boring for you to read it , but try and imagine what I felt at sum key moments ..
